What are the specifications and standards for scaffolding pads?

As we all know, scaffolding is widely used in engineering construction, but it is not limited to installation and use, it also has certain specifications and standards, then what are the specifications and standards of scaffolding pads? Let's find out.

Specifications and standards for the use of scaffold pads.

These pads should be made of wood, the specifications of the long side should be more than twice, and the thickness should be more than 50 mm, the width of the pad made of wood should be more than 200 mm, its role is to increase the contact area between the steel pipe and the ground, which can avoid the sinking of the steel pipe due to insufficient force area. The installation of external scaffolding now requires the use of elements that have been treated with alkaline hardening, without the need to lay scaffolding plates.

Basic requirements for scaffolding erection:

1. The base and cushion must be placed precisely aligned with the positioning line.

2.The cross bar of the single row of scaffolding shall not be set in the following positions: over the beam, or the position where its end falls within the 60-degree triangle range, the width between the window wall or between the independent column is less than 1m, including the light partition wall and other structures such as brick walls with mortar strength grade lower than M2.5.

3. The construction load of each working layer must meet the work requirements, and overload is strictly prohibited. Formwork supports and transportation pipes must not be fixed to the scaffold, and do not hang hoisting devices on the scaffold.

4. The construction of scaffolding should be coordinated with the construction progress, and the height of each layer should be controlled within a reasonable range to avoid being too high and exceeding the safe distance of the adjacent wall.

5. A transverse connection rod must be set at the main node and firmly fixed with right-angle fasteners to prevent movement. For double-row scaffolding, if extended from one end of the wall, its length should not exceed 0.4 times the center distance between the two adjacent main nodes.

6. The length of the longitudinal horizontal rod should exceed 3 spans and should be set on the inside of the vertical rod. If the length is required, use butt fasteners or lap fasteners, and ensure that the butt fasteners are staggered to avoid adjacent joints in the same span. At the same time, the joints of different spans should be staggered horizontally, with a staggered distance of at least 500 mm.

Conclusion: The above content is about the specification of scaffold plate and the basic requirements of scaffolding construction. I hope you find these helpful.
