Key Points to Remember During Scaffolding Erection

、Install temporary braces every six spans when erecting vertical poles of scaffolding , which can be removed only after wall connections are firmly mounted.

、Rigid fasteners shall be adopted for wall connections and fixed on concrete columns and beams via expansion bolts. Arranged in diamond shape, they shall be installed promptly once frame assembly finishes.

、Butt joints of adjacent vertical poles shall not be arranged at the same height. Pole tops shall extend 1m above parapet walls.

、Longitudinal bottom rails shall be fastened to vertical poles within 200mm above base plates with right-angle couplers.

、Continuous longitudinal ledgers shall be arranged around the scaffold and fixed on inner and outer poles. Joints shall be staggered with upward opening of couplers.

、Diagonal bracings shall be erected synchronously with poles and ledgers. Each set spans seven poles with inclination angle no less than 45 degrees. Steel pipes are lapped with minimum 1m lap length and three swivel couplers.

、Scaffold boards shall be fully and steadily laid, keeping 120-150mm clearance from wall surfaces. Joints shall be secured with auxiliary cross bars.

、Dense safety nets shall be tightly mounted inside outer poles and firmly fixed at corners.

、Horizontal safety nets shall be installed at 3.2m height and the third floor level without gaps.

、Only certified professional workers are allowed to conduct erection work.

、Operators must wear safety helmets, safety belts and anti-slip shoes.

、Stop erection work under heavy fog, rain or wind force level six and above.

、Working after drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.

、Fence and warning signs shall be set on site to exclude irrelevant personnel.
