Putlog coupler usually consists of two main parts, a rotatable clamp similar to the shape of a "pig ear" and a fixed part with a bolt or screw.Putlog coupler are made of Q235B steel, just like ordinary coupler, they have excellent compressive and anti-slip properties. The surface is galvanized, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also protects against corrosion and extends the service life.

 Putlog couplers are mainly used for connecting the steel pipes of the horizontal and vertical scaffolding. They have a similar function to the right-angle coupler but are more cost-effective. However, their compressive and anti-slip properties are not as good as those of the right-angle coupler because one side of it is not fixed with a bolt. So they only can be used in the construction of scaffolding when the requirements for compressive strength and bearing capacity are not so high and in non-critical nodes.
