Seven Factors to Consider When Choosing Scaffolding

When purchasing scaffolding products, one should not blindly pursue low prices while ignoring quality issues. After all, "you get what you pay for," and high-quality yet low-priced products are still relatively rare. So, what are the seven factors to consider when choosing scaffolding?

1.Price
Price is a key concern for many customers. There are certain differences in the prices of scaffolding produced by different manufacturers. It is necessary to compare which manufacturer offers better cost-effectiveness and choose the one with high cost performance.

2.Material
When purchasing scaffolding, you can choose according to the required quantity and specifications, but the choice of material is equally important. If the selected material is of poor quality, the finished scaffolding will also be of low quality. Therefore, during procurement, you must first understand the material of the scaffolding and confirm whether it is made of standard virgin steel pipes. Many unethical small workshops mix virgin steel pipes with recycled steel pipes to lower market prices. However, recycled steel pipes have many potential safety hazards—their pipe bodies may crack during construction. Thus, the material is crucial.

3.Manufacturer's Strength
It is necessary to understand the processing equipment of the scaffolding manufacturer— the completeness of the equipment determines the manufacturer's production capacity and the quality of the scaffolding. In addition, the number of past cooperative customers of the manufacturer can also reflect its service attitude and strength from the side.
4.Water Absorption Rate
The lower the water absorption rate, the better. The testing method is simple: first measure the weight of the scaffolding, then immerse it in water for a period of time, take it out and weigh it again, and the difference between the two weights is the water absorption. If the water absorption rate exceeds the national standard of 12.0%, it indicates that the scaffolding is unqualified and has quality problems.

5.Glaze Surface
Cracking of the scaffolding's glaze is a common phenomenon. Scaffolding with cracked glaze will have the glaze layer peel off after freezing in winter, causing it to lose its original luster and waterproof performance. To check this, simply look for spider-web-like fine cracks on the surface of the scaffolding.

6.Sintering Degree
The higher the sintering degree of the scaffold, the higher its strength. The testing method is to tap the scaffold—the crisper the sound, the better the quality. The national standard stipulates that its bending strength should be ≥ 1020N.

7.Manufacturer's Service
The last point is also crucial: it is necessary to check whether the scaffolding manufacturer has a sound after-sales service. Although scaffolding is not easily damaged during transportation, if there are minor quality problems, it is still necessary to contact the manufacturer for solutions. Therefore, choosing a manufacturer with good after-sales service is equally important.
