1. Scaffolding Material Quality
When procuring ringlock scaffolding, first verify the raw material specifications to ensure it is made of brand-new national standard steel pipes. Some unqualified manufacturers mix new steel pipes with recycled reprocessed steel pipes to cut costs, which poses severe potential safety hazards, as reprocessed pipes are prone to fracture during construction. Thus, material quality is a top priority.
2. Water Absorption Rate of Scaffolding Components
The lower the water absorption rate of ringlock scaffolding, the better. The detection method is straightforward: weigh the dry component, soak it in water for a specified period, then weigh it again; the weight difference is the water absorption volume. Products with a water absorption rate exceeding the national standard of 12.0% are deemed unqualified and have quality defects.
3. Surface Coating of Scaffolding
Coating cracking is a common quality defect of ringlock scaffolding. When frozen in winter, cracked coatings will peel off, causing the scaffolding to lose its gloss and waterproof performance. Inspection can be conducted by checking for cobweb-like micro-cracks on the surface.
4. Sintering/Molding Density of Scaffolding
Higher molding density of ringlock scaffolding means stronger strength. Quality can be tested by tapping: a crisper sound indicates better quality. The national standard requires a flexural strength of ≥1020N.
